today we come full circle. today we come back to the source. today denison witmer plays the double door!

alright, let me explain. the first concert i went to where i took photos was deni's show in rockford on 3.7.2002 and then the next day at schubas. that's when i got hooked on going to concerts and taking photos. if it weren't for denison, i wouldn't have gone to 3/4 of the concerts i went to, and that bill mallonee concert ended up being pretty life-changing, ya know? it's weird...if it weren't for deni, i wouldn't have gone to bill's concert, which means i wouldn't have met tim, which means i never would've met megan, which means megan would've never met denison, and those two wouldn't be such buds! i find it quite amusing that denison has himself to thank that he's friends w/ megan now. i'm just the middle gal.

not only that, if i hadn't gone to that bill mallonee concert, caleb would've never emailed me. i'd probably still be roaming around looking in all the wrong places for answers to life's big questions. and i never would have gone to cornerstone, which means i never would've become friends w/ ryan or jesse or mikey or bill & VoL...

also, the ONLY reason i started this website was because i knew that i'd be taking photos at denison's concert, and i'd need a place to put them. if you look at my index page, you will note that i decided to start the website on march 5th, 2 days before denison's rockford show. and i found out about blogging through denison, so this whole online journal thing is from him too. my first blog was the day of denison's schuba show.

not only that, during the last week of my dad's life, denison & i emailed each other while i was by my dad's side late into the night in the hospital. somehow, as i would read his emails or write him emails, i felt like he was in that hospital room with me. he was the one to whom i entrusted the emotions and thoughts going through me as i watched my dad slip away.

so that's what i mean by coming full circle. i'm so excited denison's coming to town!!! megan's driving in just for the show so we can all hang out. i can't wait to get my hands on the live recordings cd and the cd version of philadephia songs. i've been listening to the cassette i recorded off the lp, and i can't play that in my car.
