| this is the neigborhood where i live...well, technically, i live in bucktown, and these photos are mostly in wicker park, but those are just silly details...i spend most of my time in wicker park anyways...wicker park is home to a bunch of places that i frequent, including reckless records, burning leaf tobacco, filter (which used to be the local grind coffeehouse), caffe de luca's, penny's noodles, hollywood grill, piece, the spin cycle (i probably don't frequent it as much as i should considering i hate laundry), the double door, estelle's, get me high lounge, the handlebar, northside bar & grill, aion teahouse, the wicker park post office (where i mail out wildwood press kits from), red hen bakery, and THE wicker park PARK itself...there's so much bustlin' and hustlin' going on around this neighborhood at all hours...the traffic @ six corners (north, damen and milwaukee aves) is worse at 2am than at 2pm sometimes...you see 'em all here...the indie rockers and hipsters...the yuppies...out-of-town tourist drunks...the wannabe's...the homeless...the rich...the poor...the average...it's hard for me to walk fast in this neighborhood when i have my camera out cuz i just see photos and photos and photos everywhere... |
